Lea Salonga was appointed as United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organization last Friday. It was held during the celebration of World Food Day. The said ocassion was also attended by Oscar-winning actress Susan Sarandon, Italian actor Raoul Bova and Canadian singer Celine Dion.

Lea Salonga performed John Lennon’s “Imagine”.

I sang ‘Imagine,’ after Josette Sheeran, executive director of the World Food Program, spoke about having a dream of succeeding in the fight against hunger and malnutrition. It was an appropriate pairing, one that I hadn’t anticipated.

The appointment took place at FAO headquarters in Rome.

Ft. Hood Rampage Video could have been a tool to base a decision if Maj. Nidal Hasan should be held accountable in the said shootings. As of now, Hasan has been charged with "13 counts of premeditated murder and 32 counts of attempted premeditated murder."

The need to seek for death penalty on this case is still unsure.
